Meeting Minutes for the November 13, 2015 meeting
The Nov. meeting of Corvettes of Dakota Territory meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM at Bar M in Mandan by President Mary Scott, with 24 members present. The minutes of the Oct. meeting were approved with motion by Gary seconded by Chuck W. Treasurer Avie Peterka gave treasurers report with a balance of 3005.60. AJ made a motion to accept the treasurers report and Jeanne second motion carried. Avie read a thank you letter from North Dakota National Guard Foundation for our donation of $700. 00
New Business:
1.) The by law review. Mike G. state every 5 years we review the by -laws to update. There was discussion on the dates of the annual meeting and it was decided we would bring the revised dates to the next meeting. It was stated in the by- laws the annual mtg. dates Jan or February in Article C. and in the Nominations and Elections C. it stated December or January.
2.) Hart Ranch in South Dakota for fall run The club reviewed the cost of the cabins, and looked at a date for the fall run which would be Sept.22 thru Sept. 24. Mary will contact Rich and tell him we would need 13 to 15 cabins. Thank you Rich for researching this information for the club. Just a note Deadwood will be having extensive road construction during the fall run timing .
Old Business:
Christmas Party date and review of location Avie read over the hand out given us with times and availability at other locations. Also costs were listed and after the review the cost of the Baymont was very compatible with all the other possibilities. After the discussion Lori made a motion we stay with the date of Dec.4 this year and go back to the January date next year. Vicky seconded the motion. Motion carried. Thank you Avie for the calling and checking on prices and availability of the locations. Chuck H. suggested in the future the decorating committee handle the date and location of the Xmas party. Everyone thought this was a good idea.
3.) Nomination for officers . Mary stated to email the name to her if interested in running for an office.
4.) Silent Auction items Chuck H. stated there is a new place in Mandan that carries a lot of car items. It is located across from Bonanza next to the carwash. This should help a lot of the guys!! Please bring your silent auction items to the Xmas party .
The cost of the Xmas party meal is $26.00 apiece and your dues are due Jan.1 $30.00 per yr. Please email your reservation to Avie . You can mail your checks to Corvettes of Dakota Territory P.O. Box 625 Bismarck, ND 58502
Respectfully submitted
Diana Sec.
